The kits for a self-supporting arch in the form of a chain line, a triangular and a round arch make it possible to treat designs as expressions of mechanical forces.

The building blocks of the self-supporting arch are under pressure. A chain supplied can be hung up mirror-symmetrically, its links are under tension. The triangular arch is only stable through a set weight, the round arch only through lateral pressure. Further information can be found in the instructions supplied.
