For experiments with high currents, the use of accumulators is recommended. These may only be connected or disconnected when no current is flowing (RiSU - 11.7). The circuit breaker not only interrupts the current, but with the built-in 32 A fuse also guarantees that 32 A cables from the teaching material manufacturers will not blow if they are used in experiments with glowing resistance wires or for the magnetic field of a current-carrying conductor.
