Diapositive with hatched house picture including instructions for use in the classroom
The slide with a hatched image can be used for experiments on optical filtering. To do this, a laser beam is expanded and the slide is coherently illuminated. With a large focal length lens, the hatched house image is enlarged on a screen. The associated diffraction pattern is located in the focal plane of the lens. Manipulations on the diffraction pattern change the image. So spatial filtering can be carried out. In particular, the hatching of individual details disappears in the house image if corresponding orders are hidden in the diffraction image.
The delivery includes the slide with hatched house picture, a 30-page manual including instructions for use in class and a copy template for the relationship between diffraction and image.
